The Indian Premier League is undoubtedly one of the most reputed and cash-rich franchise tournaments throughout the cricketing world. The league has produced some great talents in the game of cricket in its history of 15 years since its inception in 2008. Apart from this, most of the fans make their way to the jam-packed cricket stadiums to watch their favourte stars in action.
Meanwhile, there come the moments when some lucky fans get a rare chance to interact with their heroes and cricketing stars personally and one-to-one. A similar incident happened recently at the sidelined of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023.
It all happened when former legendary Australian skipper Ricky Ponting’s son Fletcher William Ponting met the former Indian skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli. Notably, the Delhi Capitals with whom Ricky Ponting is associated as a mentor posted this video from their official Twitter handle.
The young Fletcher was awestruck by seeing Virat Kohli just next to him and felt exasperated when his father and former World Champions skipper went on to greet Virat Kohli with a very pleasing gesture.
The video of this interaction between Virat Kohli and Ricky Jr is now making rounds on social media as soon as it was posted by Delhi Capitals on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
