Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Nitish Rana's wife Saachi Marwa, recently, fell victim to a horrific incident in Delhi on her way back home. Marwah was followed by two youths on a bike who reportedly hit her car while she was returning home from work on Thursday, May 4. In an Instagram story, she described the whole incident and expressed her dissatisfaction with how the Delhi Police handled the matter.
Marwah, the niece of Bollywood actor Govinda, revealed that two guys chased her and randomly hit her car. The lavish interior designer also claimed that she received no help from the Delhi Police when she tried to file a complaint. Marwah posted a story of a video clip along with a short paragraph explaining the incident:
“Just a casual day in Delhi, on my way back home from work! These guys randomly started hitting my car! Just no reason, stalked and chased and the police told me on the phone when I complained, ‘so now that you’ve reached home safe, let it go! Next time, number note kar lena’ (note the number next time), aye aye captain, next time, I’ll take their phone numbers also!” Saachi wrote on her Instagram story.

Nitish Rana in IPL 2023
The KKR skipper has been in his best form in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rana, who scored 275 runs in 10 matches, is leading the team from the front in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. He has played 101 matches for the the two-time IPL champions and has amassed 2456 runs - only the fourth player in history to score 2000 runs for the franchise.
The Kolkata-based franchise won over SunRisers Hyderabad in their last clash in Hyderabad. An outstanding effort from the KKR bowlers, particularly Varun Chakaravarthy, helped them win the thriller by 5 runs. KKR are, currently, eighth on the points table and the remaining matches are crucial for them to enter the playoffs. They will next face Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens on May 8.
