Brazilian superstar Neymar, reportedly, lost a huge amount of money playing online poker on Thursday. The Paris Saint-Germain forward, who is out for the season following ankle surgery in March, tried to keep himself busy off the field but ended up losing €1 million, followed by a fake cry on a live stream.

Neymar has never tried to hide his passion for poker and is even regularly spotted at casinos. He also took part in the European Poker Tour, which left many doubting whether the Brazilian icon would turn professional. He often plays online games and earns an impressive amount of money, however, Thursday night's game made the 31-year-old realize that poker is 'not as easy' as football.

The loss of the seven-figure sum was an unforgettable moment for Neymar, which led to him saying "oh f*k" as the famous Titanic theme music ironically played in the background. The PSG star faked a cry, but smiled shortly after his fellow players mocked him by pointing out that he'd gone “from a million to zero in 60 minutes”.

When will Neymar take the field again?

The Brazilian was carried off the pitch on a stretcher after twisting his right ankle in a tight 4-3 win against Lille in the French league on February 19. He picked up the injury at the start of the second half. The latest injury which required surgery has forced Neymar to be out of football action for the next 3-4 months. The Brazilian also missed his team's UEFA Champions League round of 16 matches.

“Neymar Jr has sustained a number of instances of instability in his right ankle in recent years. Following his latest sprain on 20 February, the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff recommended a ligament repair operation to avoid a major risk of recurrence. All the experts consulted have confirmed this necessity,” a PSG statement said earlier.

Neymar's current contract with the French club expires in 2025, but the player has reiterated his desire to stay at PSG beyond next year.
