After Pakistan vs New Zealand, Test series concluded on a poor note the two teams are locking horns in an ODI series. The exciting end to the last Test match was cut short by poor light something that didn’t sit well with many fans.

With the intent to forget the poor Test series, the Babar Azam-led side went head to head with the Kane Williamson side at National Stadium Karachi. Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bowl first inviting New Zealand to put runs on the board.

Pakistan were missing their premium pace bowler Shaheen Afridi who is known to take wickets in the first over itself in white ball matches. Despite his absence, however, Pakistan managed to still do that as youngster Naseem Shah made sure that Pakistan got a wicket in the first over.

The right-arm pacer dismissed Devon Convoy with an outside leg delivery that stuck the batter's leg and ricocheted onto the stumps. Kiwi managed to lose a wicket in the fifth ball of the innings itself.

Here's the video:

Both teams would be looking to ace the Indian subcontinent condition as the next ODI World Cup is scheduled to be held in India by the end of 2023. This is the sole reason why many teams are touring the Indian subcontinent so as to get as much match practice in these conditions as possible.
