The current Indian Premier League (IPL) has MS Dhoni playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). At the Chinnaswamy stadium, CSK and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will square off on April 17. However, there were rumours prior to the competition that Dhoni might wear the CSK shirt for the final time during this IPL season.
As a result, Dhoni's fans are still uncertain about his IPL future. He recently went to a gathering before the RCB match. He was questioned about his retirement intentions there. MS Dhoni responded to that by saying, "There's a lot of time to take that call. Right now, we have a lot of games, and the coach will be under pressure if I say anything. I don't want to put pressure on him."

MS Dhoni's CSK will next face RCB in the Southern Derby at Bengaluru
MS Dhoni was observed leaving the pitch with a limp during Chennai Super Kings' most recent matchup with Rajasthan Royals (RR). Later, it was revealed that the CSK captain had a knee injury. Fans started to worry about whether he would be healthy enough to play against RCB. Kasi Viswanathan, the Chief Executive Officer of CSK, was quoted by PTI as saying the following in relation to that: "I don't think he will miss the game, but we will have to wait and see till tomorrow evening".
According to the Times of India, the CSK assistant coach, Michael Hussey, stated: "I think it has been ongoing for a long time. He has been managing it as possibly as he can. He seems to be getting okay." MS Dhoni has so far displayed a few brief yet noteworthy batting efforts. He has scored 58 runs at an average of 58 in four games. Dhoni has batted so far with an astounding strike rate of 214.81 and struck six sixes. In IPL 2023, CSK won two of its first four games while he served as captain.
