The man who made 'No. 7' iconic in cricket was flooded with good wishes and love from his fans, former cricketers and experts. July 7 is a special day not just for Dhoni, but for millions of his fans who celebrated the birthday of their beloved 'Thala' in various ways.

Meanwhile, fans were curious about how the former India captain spent his birthday, and the man himself provided a glimpse of what he did. Dhoni, who is not active on social media and who rarely posts anything, took to his Instagram account to share a video of his simple celebration along with thanking everyone for their lovely wishes.

In the video, which he captioned "Thanks a lot for all your warm wishes, a glimpse of what I did on my birthday," the right-handed batter can be seen cutting a birthday cake while surrounded by his pet dogs.

Some fans were lucky enough to meet Dhoni on his birthday

While Dhoni celebrated his birthday with family and close friends at his residence in Ranchi, Jharkhand, some fans got the privilege of meeting the legend on his special day. A video of Dhoni waving to his fans from his terrace has gone viral on social media. Dressed casually and with a gentle smile on his face, the Chennai Super Kings skipper acknowledged the love and wishes of his fans.

Earlier, a video of a fan gifting Dhoni a special birthday artwork also gained attention on social media. Dhoni was delighted by the fan’s lovely gesture as he took a closer look at the art. Some fans present at the scene were heard yelling the cricketer's name, and he looked at them and waved.

Dhoni was last seen on the cricket field in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final, where he led CSK to lift the trophy for a record fifth time. There are rumours that the 16th IPL season was his last dance as a player, but he has not made any such statement and fans are hoping to see him again next year.
