Getting a glimpse of their favorite players is every fan's dream and sometimes they even breach security for that. A similar incident took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on the first day of the India-Australia second Test on Friday, with Mohammad Shami winning the hearts of cricket fans with his act.
A fan was seen running onto the field during Day 1 of the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, his attempt to meet the Indian players failed as he was caught by security in the middle of the ground. Seeing the incident, India pacer Shami came close to the security personnel and asked him to be kind to the invader.

India dominate Day 1 of the second Test
India dominated on the first day of the second Test, restricting Australia's innings to 263 runs. Aussie captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bowl first, but nothing went the visitors' way as the Indian bowlers put them under pressure from the start. It was Shami who drew the first blood of the opponent as he dismissed David Warner for 15 runs after building a 50-run partnership with Usman Khawaja. Following that, Indian spinners also came into the action with Ravichandran Ashwin dismissing dangerous Marnus Labuschagne (18 off 25 balls) and Steve Smith (0 off 2 balls) in the same over.
Khawaja (81 off 125) and Peter Handscomb (72 off 142) were the only top performers for the visitors. The duo put on a good partnership and kept the Aussies in the contest, but the left-handed batter was caught by a one-handed stunner from KL Rahul. Shami took four wickets, while Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each for India.
Meanwhile, India got off to a good start to their batting innings as Indian captain Rohit Sharma (13*) and vice-captain KL Rahul (4*) managed to remain unbeaten after scoring 21 runs in 9 overs. Both the openers will look to build a good partnership from here as the hosts will resume Day 2 with a trail of 242 runs.
