The 20-20 World Cup 2022 has started with a few teams playing in the First Round to qualify for the Super 12 round. On the other hand, some top ranked teams have been seeded in the second round of the tournament. While some of the teams continue to play for a Super 12, the others are gearing up before their campaign starts.

Teams such as India, Pakistan, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are certain to play in the Super 12 round. Ahead of the second round, some players catch up during a net session. In a video uploaded by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), players such as Mohammed Shami and Shaheen Afridi met each other. The duo was looking relaxed in the midst of the highly anticipated game between India and Pakistan on October 23.

Apart from them, players from other teams met each other as well. In the video, Afridi reminded a Scotland about being on the helmet by Haris Rauf in the 2021 edition.

Talking about the tournament, the first two days have some immense giant killing. In the inaugural game of the tournament, Namibia humbled Sri Lanka to make the fans and cricket fraternity go crazy. On the other hand, Scotland floored two-time winners, West Indies to start their campaign. Notably, the European beat Bangladesh in the 2021 edition to start their campaign. At the time of writing, Ireland and Zimbabwe are playing each other in Hobart.

Talking about the Super 12 round, it will begin with last year's finalists, Australia and New Zealand playing each other. The game will be played on October 22 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. On the same day, the 2010 winners, England and Afghanistan will open their campaign in the showpiece event. Meanwhile, the India and Pakistan fans will be eagerly waiting for the sun to rise on October 23. After all, the Asian rivals will meet each other on the day at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
