Trent Boult, the brilliant new-ball seamer for New Zealand, is currently wreaking havoc on England in the second One-Day International at Rose Bowl in Southampton after a 10-month absence. Jonny Bairstow was the standout of his three dismissals, thanks to Mitchell Santner's outstanding extra cover catch.
During the third over of the first innings, Bairstow attempted to slice a length delivery that was pitched at middle stump, which resulted in his dismissal. Santner, who was positioned at extra cover, executed his jump well and collected the catch using his left hand when the ball took the leading edge.
Ben Stokes and Joe Root were two more crucial victims for the 34-year-old bowler. During the second delivery he encountered Root left without making a dent in the total, and Stokes, who had a half-century in the last game, smashed one straight to mid-off, where Tim Southee grabbed a straightforward catch.

Trent Boult makes his 100th ODI appearance for New Zealand
Before the game started, veteran Tim Southee gave Trent Boult his 100th ODI cap. Boult has been in charge of their multi-format assault for more than a decade and has performed well.
The left-arm seamer, 34, has 187 scalps across 99 ODIs with a great average of 23.97 before this game.
The Kiwis won easily by eight wickets in Cardiff to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match ODI series. In their allocated 50 overs, England scored 291 runs thanks to fifty-plus scores from Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes, Dawid Malan, and Jos Buttler.
However, Daryl Mitchell as well as Devon Conway smashed hundreds to lead their team to a comfortable victory, rendering England's bowling attack ineffective. The Kiwis have not yet revealed their World Cup team for 2023, although England has.
On September 11, they're anticipated to make the news and welcome back Kane Williamson, who serves as their usual captain. This would be one of the most optimistic news not only for the New Zealand camp but for cricket fans who are an admirer of the right handed batter.
