Manchester United have been having a torrid time at the football field. They haven't been able to put a foot right and have looked miserable in this season of the Premier League. The recent 4-0 drubbing against Bentford saw them sink rock bottom in the Premier League standings and their season has been a tale of woe.

Manchester United always look to play a counter attacking style of football. They have not been able to pull the strings together as a side and there have been reports of players wanting to leave the club including Cristiano Ronaldo. United's saving grace this season has been a 2-1 win over Liverpool.

The defense has been weak and the forwards have not delivered for the red devils in this Premier League season. The ownership group of Manchester United has copped the brunt of not able to get the big signings into the club. They have had two wins and two losses and are placed at 6th position with 6 points.

Southampton has had a mixed start to their Premier League season. They have played very moderately and have registered 4 points from 3 matches. They have had one win, one draw and two losses so far.

Manchester United are currently playing against Southampton. Following their 2-1 win over Liverpool, a lot of expectations have been placed on Manchester United and in the opening twenty minutes of their clash against Southampton, the Red Devils have been on point with them dominating the ball and enjoying the run of the grass.

Southampton side have been the far better side in the opening minutes with the Saints still trying to wrest the initiative although chances were created. However, that changed straightaway as Diogo Dalot collected the ball on the right and floated a cross into the area for Bruno Fernandes to nod a clear chance at goal.

But Kyle Walker-Peters blocked his effort from six yards out. It slipped to Anthony Elanga on the right but his pile-driver was saved by Gavin Bazunu.
