India are all set to play Bangladesh in their next fixture in the 20-20 World Cup on Wednesday at Adelaide. Ahead of the match, the ‘Men-in-Blue’ had a practice session on Tuesday where several players were seen hitting the nets. Opener KL Rahul, who has been having a torrid time with the bat in the tournament so far, was also seen practising. A video of KL Rahul having a long chat with Virat Kohli during the practice session has been going viral on the internet.

In the video, Kohli is seen explaining something to Rahul mimicking some shots. Kohli is further seen giving advice to the opener who has scores of 4, 9 and 9 in the three matches so far.

Rahul has been looking completely out of touch as he has failed to rotate the strike in the first three matches mounting the pressure on the other opener Rohit Sharma. With Rahul being out of form, there have been widespread discussions about including Rishabh Pant in the playing XI and making him open the innings. The Indian team management tried Pant in the opening slot in the lead-up to the World Cup but the gamble didn’t pay off.

Meanwhile, India lost their third match against South Africa on Sunday by five wickets. Rohit Sharma won the toss and batted first but the team could only manage to score 133 in their allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav is top-scored for India scoring 68 off 40 balls.

South Africa comfortably chased down the target courtesy of half-centuries from Aiden Markram and David Miller. India will next face Bangladesh on Wednesday at Adelaide.

India’s next two games are a must-win affair after their loss against South Africa. If India loses one more match, they will finish with six points on the points table and will rely on their net run rate for qualification to the semi-finals. After Bangladesh, India will face Zimbabwe on 6th November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The ‘Men-in-blue’ are expected to qualify for the semi-finals stage comfortably.
