Before India kick start their 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan, they are playing their first warm-up fixture against Australia at The Gabba stadium in Brisbane. In a game that was important for the batters to get in full flow before the start of the tournament, KL Rahul played a master-class knock of 57 runs in 33 deliveries.

He opened the batting with skipper Rohit Sharma and showed his class with his repertoire of shots against a potent Australian bowling attack. Rohit Sharma struggled to get going at one end but KL Rahul looked simply outstanding with the bat.

He went attacking right from the onset of his innings and went on to hit 6 fours and 3 sixes en-route to his 57-run knock. The fans were pleased to watch him score those runs at an outstanding strike-rate of 172.7.3

Among all the shots, the one which left everyone in awe was against Pat Cummins in the 5th over of the innings. On the third ball of the over, Cummins bowled one on a good length but KL Rahul flicked that one over mid-wicket for a sensational six.
