As long as T20 superstars go, Kieron Pollard is a familiar name. The big man has spent over a dozen years in the Mumbai outfit playing in the Indian T20 League. He has always been a fan-favourite among Mumbai supporters, primarily known for his all-around play and big-hitting capabilities.

Pollard is currently playing in the International T20 League for the MI Emirates. The 35-year-old was at his disastrous best in the game against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders on Friday as he hit his national teammate Andre Russell for 26 runs in the 18th over.

On Friday, the MI Emirates took on Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at the Shaikh Zayed Stadium. Pollard's former national teammate Andre Russel was already having a bad day with the ball by his standards, conceding 35 runs in his 3 overs. Come the 18th over; the equation went from bad to worse.

The big man started with two consecutive boundaries of the first two balls. Russell tried to bring the game back to Pollard with an expert Yorker for the third delivery, but the big-hitter could only push it away for a couple. Pollard didn't let Russell gain any momentum as he hit him for a massive six over midwicket, following it up with two back-to-back boundaries. In the last ball, Russell missed an attempted yorker that was regular meat for Pollard. He dispatched the full toss over the long-on boundary to make it 26 off the over.

Here's the video:

Earlier in the game, Abu Dhabi won the toss and put MI Emirates to bat. Muhammad Waseem (60), Andre Fletcher (22) and Lorcan Tucker (33), alongside Pollard (43), helped them reach 180 within their quota of 20 overs.

The MI Emirates forced Abu Dhabi into their 8th loss this season as they gulped up the game by 18 runs. Chasing a target of 181, Abu Dhabi could only manage 162. Andre Russell was their top-scorer with a knock of 42 off 22 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowlers with 3/37, while Zahoor Khan and Imran Tahir picked up 2 wickets each.
