Sri Lankan left-arm fast bowler Isuru Uddana had a lucky escape from a snake during the 15th match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 in a game between B-Love Kandy and Jaffna Kings, while the incident happened at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The Lankan speedster didn’t know about the snake's presence on the ground as he was fielding at the boundary, and as he saw the snake, his expression showed fear. 

Before this incident, one more incident happened in the Lakan T20 league a week ago. It was a match between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura in Colombo, and a video went viral related to this incident, the play was halted as the snake invaded the ground. Whereas in the game where former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Uddana had the lucky escape, Kandy opted to bat first, posting a total of 178/8 in 20 overs with Mohammad Haris scoring 81 runs. But later, the snake incident stole the spotlight from the main event. 

Whereas in the game, the result goes in favour of B-Love Kandy as they emerge victorious by eight runs. As far as the game is concerned, B-Love Kandy contributed Angelo Mathews and Fakhar Zaman contributed with 22 runs each, while Wanindu Hasaranga followed with a quickfire 14 off nine balls. Chris Lynn was the only Jaffna Kings was the only batter in the top four with double-digit scores.

However, for Kings in the 15th game of LPL 2023, veteran Pakistan batter Shoaib Malik top scored with 55 runs and was unbeaten, while Udana finished with a figure of 1/30 in four overs bowled, taking the massive wicket of David Miller at a crucial juncture. Thisara Perera tried hard to chase down the target with 36 runs, including two fours and the same number of sixes. The game went to the last over as Dushmanta Chameera defended 18 runs on six balls, he gave up nine runs in the last over.
