WATCH: Indian Cricket team given rousing welcome in Guwahati before 2023 ODI World Cup warm game vs England

The Indian Cricket is in Guwahati to gear up for the upcoming 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup. Rohit Sharma and his men take on defending champions England in the first warm-up game. The match is to be played at Guwahati on Saturday with both the teams looking to fine-tune their preparations.

India has recently become the World Number 1 side in ODI Cricket. The men in blue have beaten Australia as well as winning the 2023 Asia Cup. England on the other have beaten New Zealand and Ireland just before the World Cup.

Both teams have tough encounters to start the tournament. India will take on Australia in Chennai on the 8^th of October. England will start the tournament as they take on New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The match will be played on the 5^th of October to kick off the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Crazy welcome for the Indian Cricket Team –

Rohit Sharma and his team reached Guwahati on Thursday to play their 1^st Warm Up game. The Indian team’s bus was greeted with massive cheer in a video posted by REVSPORTZ. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were one of the earliest to get on the bus and were greeted with a lot of enthusiasm.

Former skipper Virat Kohli could be seen hearing music wearing a red cap. The 34-year-old seemed stumped at first but soaked in the applause and love towards him. The team could be seen getting into the bus one by one to head to practice.

The Indian team was in action on Wednesday when they played the final ODI in Rajkot. Australia won the game by 66 runs to end the series on a high. India made lots of changes to the team. Ishan Kishan who was sick for the game was also seen on the Indian team bus.

Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur will link up with the Indian team after they were rested for the final game. Ravichandran Ashwin is also slated to be with the Indian team for the game on Saturday. It is still not clear if Axar Patel is fit to make it to the Indian team for the 2023 ODI World Cup. In case Patel isn’t fit then Ashwin is sure to take his place in the Indian squad.
