The Indian women’s U19 cricket team won the finals against England in the Women’s U19 20-20 World Cup 2022 on January 29, Sunday and it is well-documented that the team pulled off a dominating victory after restricting the English young brigade to just 68, on the back of a stupendous bowling effort from Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi and Parshavi Chopra with each of them picking up a two-for.

Much to the delight of the Indian fans, it was Soumya Tiwari who kept India in the race and won the game for India with 7 wickets to spare with her unbeaten 37-ball 24, creating history in the first-ever edition of the Women’s U19 20-20 World Cup. Post the conclusion of the epic game, the young Indian girls were spotted shaking a leg to the famous song “Kala Chashma’ and the video is now going viral on the internet.

Post the conclusion of the game, the captain of the Indian U19 women's cricket team Shafali opened up on the summit clash and said that it was one of the emphatic wins for them. Further, the 19-year-old thanked the Indian cricket board for providing her with a wonderful team which stood upright throughout the tournament and eventually went on to win the contest.

“The way all the girls are performing and backing each other, so happy. Incredible feeling. Thanks to the staff, the way they have been backing us everyday and telling us that we are here for the cup and because of them we are here. All thanks to them. The players have been backing me a lot,” Shafali was quoted as saying during the post-match presentation.

“Thanks to the Indian cricket board for giving me this beautiful team and really happy for winning the cup. She (Shweta Sehrawat) has been excellent and has followed all the plans from the staff. Not just her, Archana, Soumya and I can't really take the names but they all have been incredible. No, definitely not (when asked if this is the only Cup she's gonna pick up this season in South Africa),” she added.
