Hardik Pandya, the Indian skipper for the T20I series, was termed selfish’ after he hit the six to finish the game in the third game. The situation unfolded in such a way that youngster Tilak Varma was batting on the other end for 49 runs, but Pandya opted to finish off the game when one run was required in 14 balls.
Before this, Pandya faced the heat as Men in Blue lost back-to-back games in the series, The star all-rounder was on the radar because of Men in Blue's performance. This time it was for a different reason, as he didn’t give the strike back to Varma to complete his second half-century. On the 5th ball of the 18th over, the right-handed batter smashed the six off the bowling of Rovman Powell, while Varma finished his innings on 49 (37).

It is likely that Hardik wanted to give Tilak a strike but probably had to change his plan when the left-handed batter scored five runs in five balls, It is pertinent to mention that Pandya was himself batting on 12 off 12, and when the bowler bowled the juicy ball in the slot, the Indian skipper couldn’t resist himself and sent the ball to the fence over long on for six.

Speaking of Tilak, in three games in his debut series for the Indian side, the 21-year-old youngster is the leading run-scorer in the series. After three games, Varma has so far scored 139 runs in three innings. In the first two games, when all experienced batters were out of touch, he made 90 runs in both games.
Now for the fourth T20I, Hardik Pandya-led side will be against the West Indies, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill. Visitors will be looking to level up the series as they currently trail by 1-2 in five matches, whereas in Tests and ODIs, the Men in Blue were victorious by 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.
