The match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore was a low scoring thriller. RCB could only manage to score 126-9 on the board. In the second innings, LSG capitulated to 108 all out in 19.5 overs. RCB won a close contest at the Ekana Stadium by 18 runs. But the match was not short of entertainment as it had its fair share of drama.
After the game ended, Gambhir indulged in an aggressive and furious handshake with Virat Kohli. This happened before Kyle Mayers approached Virat Kohli to have a chat with the former RCB skipper. Then as Mayers was trying to converse with Kohli, Gambhir would have none of it and pulled Mayers away from Kohli.

The Gambhir-Kohli saga did not end there. Gambhir then hurled a furious volley of words at Kohli. Things had already warmed up in the second innings when LSG lost their second wicket and Virat Kohli put a finger on his lips and gave an indication to the LSG crowd to cheer for RCB instead of the home side.
Naveen-ul-Haq picked up 3-30 for Lucknow Super Giants
This was in a rebuttal to what Gambhir did at the M Chinnasawmy Stadium where he put a finger on his lips and told the home crowd to shush themselves after LSG had won a one wicket nail bitter against RCB off the last ball of the 20th over. Here at the Ekana Stadium, it appeared that things were to come back at full circle.
Coming to the match, the pitch was not easy to bat on. It appeared to keep slowing down as the game progressed. Naveen-ul-Haq picked up 3-30 for LSG and was the pick of the bowlers in the first innings. He was well supported by the wrist spin duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Amit Mishra who scalped two wickets each.
In the second innings, LSG played out 66 dot balls which cost them the match. The batters struggled to get going as the RCB spinners and Harshal Patel came and showcased their craft. Karn Sharma and Josh Hazelwood picked up 2-20 in four overs and 2-15 in three overs, respectively, to cap off a good win for RCB.
