Afghanistan and Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen-ul-Haq was teased by the fans while he was walking into the post-match presentation. During the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore game, Naveen and Kohli had a verbal spat. This continued after the game too with the Afghanistan cricketer not shaking hands properly. Also, he failed to comply with the request of his skipper KL Rahul to speak with Kohli.

Meanwhile, during the post-match presentation, Haq was awarded a prize for his performance. While he was walking into the presentation, he was teased by the fans while they chanted Virat's name.

Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli fined by IPL

“Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Virat Kohli has been fined 100 per cent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

“Mr Kohli admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct.

“Lucknow Super Giants’ Bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has been fined 50 per cent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

“Mr Naveen-ul-Haq admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct,” reads the statement issued by IPL on their official website.
