AB de Villiers is a modern-day legend in cricket. The South African batter has wowed fans of not just South Africa but the entirety of cricket. In India specifically, the 38-year-old is as much adored as any Indian cricketing star.

Having played for the Bangalore team in the Indian T20 League, Devilliers enjoys immense popularity throughout the country. The former South Africa cricketer has on many occasions spoken of the love that he receives in India and always wants to come back to the cricket-loving nation.

Recently the South African was in India for a work-related trip and has spent his time meeting with friends and fans. Many however did not expect the player to go to Mumbai and play street cricket with kids but that is exactly what the fan favourite has done.

In a video that is going increasingly viral, AB de Villiers was seen playing street cricket under lights while many cricket fans, mostly constituting of kids, watched him in absolute awe.

The former South Africa player also met with cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar. “Bottled up with excitement as I wait to meet with @sachintendulkar . He’s always been someone I look up to. The way he carried himself on and off the field during his playing days was nothing short of incredible! Since his retirement nothing has changed and he still inspires millions around the world, including me," de Villiers captioned his post on Instagram.

India- Pakistan would be a fantasy final- AB de Villiers

The star batter has also opined on an India- Pakistan World Cup final. In a Twitter post, he wrote "Fantasy final indeed! So far 70% have voted Yes, but I’m sure NZ and ENG will have something to say about that. Both teams have amazing line-ups and are in good form. Gonna be two epic semi-final clashes. My vote goes for an Ind/Pak final too, would be a mouth-watering encounter," de Villiers tweeted on Monday, 7 November.
