Watch: Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard indulge in hilarious banter over 'most successful IPL team'

Following Chennai Super Kings' victory in the IPL 2023 final, Dwayne Bravo, the bowling coach of the CSK and his close friend Kieron Pollard, the batting coach of the Mumbai Indians, engaged in a humorous conversation about the tournament's most successful team. Days after the final, the West Indian stars went on a car ride together, when their banter emerged. Bravo defended his conviction that CSK is the most accomplished franchise in IPL history, despite his achievements in his first coaching stint.

Bravo had a big impact as the CSK bowling coach during the recently finished season, aiding their triumph for a record fifth title, equaling the feat of the Mumbai Indians. His collaboration with Eric Simmons proved extremely beneficial, especially for a youthful and inexperienced Super Kings bowling assault that performed admirably throughout the competition. Sharing a video of him and Pollard, Bravo said that Polly needs to cover up as he has more trophies than him.

"Can someone help me settle this debate @kieron.pollard55 believes that his team is the most successful IPL team @chennaiipl is the most successful IPL team. Furthermore, he @kieron.pollard55 wants to talk about trophies @kieron.pollard55 you are still on #15 #sirchampion," Dwayne Bravo captioned the video. Notably, Bravo asked Pollard if he has 17 trophies in franchise cricket and asked Pollard to name his. Pollard responded and said I don't have the count on it.

CSK equalled MI's record of most IPL trophies

Meanwhile, if we are talking about Indian Premier League only then both Bravo and Pollard have 5 IPL trophies with Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians respectively. Mumbai won IPL trophies in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 all under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. However, Chennai Super Kings clinched five trophies in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023 all under the leadership of MS Dhoni. So it's very difficult to decide which team is the most successful in IPL history.

It's worth noting that, both Pollard and Bravo has been a key member of MI and CSK respectively. They have led both franchises to glory and have been phenomenal. Pollard in his IPL career scored 3422 runs in 190 matches while clinched 69 wickets in 107 innings. On the other hand, while playing for both Mumbai and Chennai, Bravo scored 1560 runs in 161 Matches and clinched 183 wickets in 158 innings.
