India and South Africa faced off each other in the third ODI on October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Men in Blue claimed a stellar win on the back of Kuldeep Yadav’s ruthless bowling. There were many wonderful sights to espy in the game and one of them was the invasion of a dog.

South Africa batted first in the decider and in the midst of that, a dog invaded the pitch. Breaching all the security barriers, the tiny invader managed to create a lot of chaos for the players and the officials. A video of the same has been surfacing on the social media platforms.

A dog invading a pitch is not something unusual. During the second T20I between India and South Africa on October 2, a snake entered the pitch and and the officials had to take the reptile out.

South Africa’s epic collapse:

After losing the first ODI to South Africa, the Men in Blue, led by Shikhar Dhawan, managed to make a strong comeback in the second and third ODIs to win the series. The Proteas collapsed for 99 runs in the first innings in the decider match on Tuesday and lost the game by 9 wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball with his four-for and helped the pace battery in racking up wickets. The Indian batting department spared no bowler and attacked right from the start. India chased down the total within 20 overs with 7 wickets to spare. Shubman Gill top-scored with his 49 and helped his team win the series.

All eyes will be on the senior team now as they will kickstart the 20-20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan on October 23. The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, won the practice match against Western Australia by 13 runs and looked in tremendous form. However, it remains to be seen if the team would carry on with the momentum in the showpiece event and clinch the 20-20 World cup title after 15 years.
