David Warner is undoubtedly one of the most loved cricketers in the world as he enthralls his fans both on and off the field. The Aussie opening batter is aggressive when it comes to scoring runs for his team, but off the field he is chill as he interacts with fans and entertains on social media. In one such interaction, recently, a video of Warner playing cricket with kids in Mumbai surfaced on social media, winning the hearts of fans across the country.
It is understood that the video was taken when he returned to India for the ODI series after being out of the Test series. Warner was seen holding the bat and asking a guy there to bowl to him. Warner defends the ball to his left and waits for the next ball. The southpaw was surrounded by kids and locals who were busy clicking the pictures and taking videos of their favourite cricketer.

'We’ll see Warner back in Australian colours': Head coach Andrew McDonald
Warner was ruled out of the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India due to a concussion. He got hit on the head while trying to pull a delivery from Mohammed Siraj and also suffered a hairline fracture in his elbow on Day 1 of the second Test. The left-hander was unable to recover from the injury and was therefore left out of the squad for the third and fourth Tests.
Warner's Test career has come under scrutiny after his recent performances in the format. He scored a double hundred in his 100th Test in December 2022 but has since failed to perform well in the longer format. The 36-year-old struggled to find form in the series against India, managing to score just 26 runs from three innings. However, amid questions over his place in the Test team, Australia head coach Andrew McDonald declared Warner is in their plans for the World Test Championship final.
Australia and India will lock horns again in the WTC final starting June 7 at the Oval in London. Before that, the two will face off in a 50-over series that starts from March 17. McDonald also confirmed that Warner has recovered from injury and will feature in the ODI series.
"At the moment Dave’s fully in our plans for the World Test Championship, he’s coming back for the one-day series, he’s recovered from his injury there, so we’ll see Dave back in Australian colours on the 17th and we’ll go from there,” the head coach said.
