European Cricket is known for their funny moments and the HCL software VIP experience 2022 was no different. Recently, a funny incident during a game between team Green and team Blue took place. During the initial battle, on the ninth ball, when Green batted first, Quinton Norris tried to hit a full toss towards the onside and started running to the non-striker’s end. However, the batter fell while doing the same and crawled his way back to the non-striker’s end.

The fielder, who came up with a poor throw, made it easy for the batter to reach the crease and it turned out to be one moment to cherish from the entire tournament. However, the Blue team ended up winning the first fixture and losing the next.

The never-ending funny incidents in cricket

While many trolled Norris, one of the Twitter users, who later revealed that he was one of the umpires in the game, stepped up to the occasion and said that it is what cricket was all about. Further, the user said that it was about the VIPs enjoying the game and being glad that they enjoyed it without playing for pride.

“Wise up it was 80% Sponsors and VIPS enjoyng there first EVER  game of cricket!  I was other umpire and to see them all enjoy both games and everyone wants play again and improve & lots friendships made which is what cricket is about!” the user said in reply to one of the trolls.

This is not the first time such an incident has happened in cricket and the fans might agree that it is one sport that can either go down the wire or be full of laughter. It is for this reason, fans call cricket, ‘a funny game’.
