The Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam, was seen in fiery mode after the thriller match between Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is a thriller of an experience for cricket fans all over the world, as Afghanistan was on the verge of registering a memorable win as it would be their first win against Pakistan in the 50-over format. Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan stole the win as their pair sustained till the end, winning the game by one wicket with one ball left.
Whereas after the end of the first innings, the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side posted a total of 300 for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs, their opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a terrific hundred as he scored 151 runs in the same number of balls, including three sixes and 14 boundaries. Afghanistan put the Babar Azam-led side in trouble, as at one stage they were on 211/6 but the equation boiled down to 27 runs needed off the last two overs when Shadab and Naseem started attacking.

The left-arm spinner struck a six and four of the last two balls of the second last over, which nailed the equation of 11 of the last six balls. Speaking of the video after the game, the video went viral on social media and showed players of both sides shaking hands, but the Men in Green skipper looked furious, and Babar was angry and was seen exchanging words with one of the experienced players on the opposite side, Mohammad Nabi.

Later, Babar and Nabi's conversation was stopped as the umpire intervened in the heated exchange, as Fazalhaq Farooqi did Shadab's mankad runout in the 49th over. Now Pakistan has won the three ODI series, as they have won back-to-back games. The Men in Green won the first game at Hambantota, Sri Lanka, by 142 runs. For the third and last ODI at Colombo, both sides will take on each other on August 26. It is pertinent to mention that after the ODI series is over, both sides will be in action for the Asia Cup 2023, which will start on August 30 and will be organized in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
