The captains of both teams shared a hilarious moment when they crossed paths on the field. Babar Azam gave Scott Edwards a thumbs up, while the latter shouted, "Make sure you win, then we finish fourth". The video of the two has gone viral over the internet.

As it turned out, Pakistan won the match against Bangladesh and advanced to the semi-finals. They defeated Bangladesh by five wickets to knock them out of the tournament. With this win, the Netherlands finished fourth in Group 2 and qualified for the next edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

In the meantime, Captain Scott Edwards was overjoyed after their historic 13-run win. The emotional captain was at a loss for words when asked to describe his feelings after the game. He stated that it would take some time for the victory to sink in.

”I am lost for words. Went so fast. This is going to take a bit of time to take it all in. We are used to these conditions in Netherlands. We were confident around the 160 mark to defend this,” he said at the post-match presentation.
