The tennis world is full of fuss and celebrations as Roger Federer will make it to the arena for one last time in the Laver Cup 2022. The Swiss legend is all set to play his final match paring with Rafael Nadal and one cannot expect a more perfect setup. Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will team up for Team Europe and the Swiss star will take up the racket for one last time.
The legendary stars lightened the Gala, a place where they introduce themselves, with humour. However, Andy Murray stole the show in the end with his grand welcome for Novak Djokovic. While introducing the Serbian star to the crowd, Murray came up with a four-liner and entertained the crowd as they went crazy over the same.
“Going wild on vegetable smoothies, he’s gluten-free, it’s 21-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic,” Andy Murray said while welcoming Novak Djokovic onto the stage. The fans erupted in joy and gave roaring applause once Novak Djokovic appeared on the big screen. The Serbian then made his way to the Gala stage amid a huge roar from the spectators.

For the unversed, Novak Djokovic is on a gluten-free diet since 2010 on his doctor’s advice. The tennis star has quit dairy products and Andy Murray used this reference to introduce him at the Gala.
We always got along really well: Roger Federer
Speaking of Roger Federer, the tennis star revealed the possibility of pairing up with Rafael Nadal earlier. It has now come true that the Spaniard is all set to pair up with the legend of tennis. The Swiss tennis star will cherish the moment and will look to bid adieu in style.
“For as long as we battled together, having always had this respect for one another— our families, our coaching teams—we always got along really well. To go through the careers that we both have had, to come out the other side and being able to have a nice relationship, I think, is maybe a great message as well—to not just tennis, but sports beyond it,” Roger Federer earlier said to CNN.
“For that reason, I think it would be great. I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but I think it could be obviously a special moment,” he said earlier.
