AB de Villiers, popularly known as Mr.360, has arrived in Bengaluru and joined his Indian T20 League franchise, Bangalore. When ABD announced his retirement from all formats of cricket in November 2021, the Bangalore team fans were devastated. Since 2011, he has been a standout performer for the Bengaluru-based team.
De Villiers had many memorable innings for Bangalore, even winning an award for the most power-packed knock in the 2012 season for his assault on Proteas speedster Dale Steyn. AB added five 100+ partnerships and two 200+ run stands with ex-skipper Virat Kohli, the only pair in the world to do so.
Last October, De Villiers promised to return to the Bangalore dugout in another capacity. After arriving in Bengaluru on Thursday, speculation about his reunion with the franchise gained new life.
“Ladies & Gentlemen, the superhuman is here and he is telling you why. Welcome home, AB de Villiers,” the Banglore team's Twitter handle captioned their post while sharing a video of De Villiers’ ride to the hotel from the airport. " I'm here to have a chat with the RCB guys about this year's IPL," De Villiers said in the video.
In the meantime, the Bangalore team posted another video of the star player. In the video, he requested suggestions for authentic Bangalore food from the fans.

According to multiple reports, De Villiers will be the mentor for the team led by Faf du Plessis in the upcoming Indian T20 League season, which is why he has joined the team's backroom staff. He will speak with the franchise about player retention and prepare for the December mini-auction.
Bangalore is expected to keep a maximum of 15 players ahead of the auction and have some valuable picks in the bidding process. The Men in Red finished third in the IPL 2022 under Du Plessis' captaincy. They would like to improve their performance in the coming season and possibly win their first Indian T20 League title.
