Watch- 4 Overthrows on single delivery has cricket fans rolling on the floor and laughing with tears

Cricket is a game that is played with utmost seriousness. Sometimes however an incident brings out all the restrained humour into the game. One such incident has taken place in the European Cricket match between Prague Barbarians and Vinohrady Cricket Club.

The video tweeted by the European Cricket Twitter handle shows a comedy of errors that is never seen before on a cricket pitch. The video starts off with PRB batter J Hoque facing a ball from VCC bowler A Hayat in the third over of the first innings.

Trying to get the scoreboard moving the PRB batter dances down the track to hit the ball but misses the outside off delivery by a whisker. With the batter out of the crease, the VCC wicketkeeper had a decent chance to get him out but he misses the wicket altogether.

All of this takes place while the non-striker batter reaches almost the other end. The strike batter soon after watching the ball move away runs towards the non-striker end with the wicket-keeper chasing the ball after him. With ample time, the keeper picks the ball and throws it to the non-striker’s wicket but again misses it by a huge margin.

The baller juggles it away from the wicket which induces the batters to run for the second. The strike batter however overshot the crease and found himself in a tricky situation as the other batter had already reached the other end. With the ball in hand, the bowler had a great chance to get the batter out with a throw on the striker’s end. True to the absurdity of this video, his throw is unable to be collected by the fielder on the other side.

From the other end, the other batter had followed the strike batter and had reached the same end. With both batters on the same end, one had to run towards the other end. The fielder from the leg slip area had to make a simple throw to the fielder standing near the wicket to get the batter out, but the two failed to do that again.

After 3 runs and 4 overthrows, the batter was still out of the crease and there was still a chance to get him out. After all the misfields and brain fades however the fielder simply decided to end the ordeal and let the batter complete the run.

The video has since then left fans rolling on the floor and laughing themselves to tears.
