Roger Federer walked away from his favourite sport albeit with a defeat in the Laver Cup 2022. But that defeat is a sign that proves the legend can fail at times too. However, the 41-year-old decided to team up with Rafael Nadal for his final match and the pair lost to Team World’s pair Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock. 

The winning pair looked upset about their win and it might be the first time in tennis history. No celebrations from the pair as they know that a legend has just played his final game. However, despite all this, the photographer turned out to be one of the heroes of the night as he captured the right moment when Rafael Nadal cried for Roger Federer. 

Virat Kohli, the Indian legend, admitted many times that he is a fan of the Swiss legend. However, more than his retirement, the veteran looked moved by the picture that went viral. Sharing the picture on his Instagram, Virat Kohli said that it was the best image in sporting history. Further, the Indian veteran highlighted the respect the rivals carry among themselves. 

“Who thought rivals can feel like this towards each other. That’s the beauty of sport. This is the most beautiful sporting picture ever for me. When your companions cry for you, you know what you’ve been able to do with your god given talent. Rafael Nadal becomes emotional while speaking about Roger Federer

Rafael Nadal got emotional after the match when he spoke a few words about Roger Federer. Clearly, the Spaniard felt it hard to come up with words to describe his feelings. However, the star admitted that a part of him will leave with Roger Federer too.

"For me, has been huge honour to be a part of this amazing moment of the history of our sport, and at the same time a lot of years sharing a lot of things together. When Roger leaves the tour, yeah, an important part of my life is leaving too because all the moments he has been next or in front me in important moments of my life. So has been emotional (to) see the family, see all the people. Yeah, difficult to describe. But, yeah, amazing moment," Rafael Nadal said of Roger Federer.
