Virat Kohli is one of the most loved cricketers, not just in India, but across the globe. His on-field flamboyance and aggression have garnered him a huge fandom. The Indian cricketer is currently among the most searched Asians on Google. The list of most searched Asians in the first half of 2022 has been released. Kohli found a place in the 10th position on the list.

While there are a few cricketers on the list, nobody has come close to the former Indian captain. MS Dhoni is the next cricketer on the list at the 32nd position. Rohit Sharma also made it to the list in the 43rd place.

Here is the list

In the meanwhile, Virat Kohli also reached the 200 million followers mark on Instagram. He is now the third-most followed sports personality in the world. Only Portuguese and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina's Lionel Messi are ahead of him.

Following a disappointing run with the bat, the 33-year-old had taken a break from cricket. He missed out on the five-match T20I series against South Africa. He will next be seen on India's tour of England. India is all set to play the rescheduled fifth Test match against England on the 1st of July.  Virat also played in the practice match against Leicestershire ahead of the Test match. He seemed in good form as he struck a half-century in the match's second innings.

The former Bangalore captain recently had a disappointing season in the Indian T20 League. Kohli scored 341 runs at an average of 22.73 in 16 matches. He finished the tournament with a strike rate of 115.98 and two fifties.

Notably, Virat has also not scored a century in over two and a half years. The world is awaiting his 71st international century. All eyes will now be on him in the Test match against England. The match will take place on July 1st at Birmingham's Edgbaston Stadium.
