Virat Kohli was seen giving Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey his autographed jerseys in a video that has been doing the rounds on the internet. The star-struck Australian team was seen expressing gratitude to the Indian batting sensation.

After notching his 28th Test century in the fourth Test, star player Virat Kohli of India made a touching gesture. Following the conclusion of the game in the Ahmedabad Test, when India had won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a score of 2-1, Kohli gave his autographed jersey to the Australian players Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey as a remembrance.

It should be recalled that Kohli had also previously offered signed jerseys to his competitors. He gave an autographed jersey to Haris Rauf, an express bowler for Pakistan, in recognition of his game-winning innings against Pakistan at the 2022 20-20 World Cup. He might be aggressive on the field but, off the field, Kohli never fails to win over his fans with his sweet gestures.

After scoring 186 runs against Australia to earn the Player of the Match award, Kohli expressed his gratitude for being able to deliver for the squad. Kohli also spoke to the media about his innings in the post match presentation.

"The expectations that I have for myself as a player are more important to me. I think in Test cricket I wasn't able to play with my tempo and template that I have played with for the last 10 years for awhile now. So that was the one thing I was trying to do. I felt like I was batting really well from the first innings in Nagpur. But we focussed more on batting as long as possible for the team. I did that for periods but not to the capability that I have done in the past. From that perspective I was disappointed but there was belief there that I was playing well and if I got an opportunity on a decent wicket then I can make a big one", the run-machine said.
