Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma rent a sea facing apartment in Mumbai, buys farmhouse in Alibaug at 13 crore

The Indian Cricket Team bowed out of the 20-20 World Cup with a very underwhelming performance against England where they were kept to 168-6 when they were batting and then Jos Buttler and Alex Hales took the wind out of India’s sails with a record 170 run partnership.

Virat Kohli, who is currently on a break, had a phenomenal tournament in Australia where he scored 296 runs from six innings at a strike rate of 136.40 and an average of 98.66. He was India’s best batter in the tournament and helped India make it to the semi-finals of the showpiece event.

In other news, according to a report by the Indian Express, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have bought a sea-facing apartment on rent in Juhu. The apartment is on the fourth floor and measures 1650 square feet. As per reports, the former India captain had paid a deposit of 7.5 lakh to lock the property. The apartment was registered on October 17.

The sea facing apartment is owned by a former cricketer

The apartment is owned by Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, who is a descendant of the Royal family of Vadodara. He is a former first-class cricketer who took up administration, later on. He received a large portion of the family settlement in 2013.

The couple also purchased their farmhouse in Alibaug. The property comes on eight acres of land which is a four BHK villa. It is located in Awas Village. The Villa contains two bedrooms, two covered car garages, four bathrooms, a terrace, outdoor dining, a private pool, staff quarters and a lot of open space. The villa is fully furnished and comes with wellness technology which helps take care of wellness factors such as quality of water and air and many other features.

The property also offers full usage to the Awas Wellness centre and also a spa for all residents and families in the apartment. Residents can use the wellness centre and it also has a generator to provide power backup. Kohli has been buying properties in Mumbai after doing so in Delhi.
