Virat Kohli has been a great cricketer for India for more than 14 years now. The Delhi batter came onto the scene after helping India win the 2008 Under 19 World Cup. From there, the batter has evolved and reached greater heights, which can just be an imagination to many cricketers. The stats of Kohli are enough to talk about his legacy and speak for themselves.

Talking about stats, many fans relate to Kohli as a statistical genius. But the 34-year-old is much more than that. The star batter is one of the greatest match winners for India, especially in the limited-overs formats. Often regarded as a ‘King’ by his fans, Kohli is known for chasing daunting totals in ODIs and T20Is with precision and ease, which makes him a standout player.

Kohli averages nearly 50 in almost all the formats of the game, which is a special feat for any player. Talking about records, Virat has many of them. Sachin Tendulkar, back in time, used to break records for fun as Virat does. The fans of Kohli do care about records, much like any other fans. But fellow cricketers and experts feel otherwise. One such person is Robin Uthappa.

'Kohli does not care about breaking records anymore' - Robin Uthappa

The former T20 World Cup winner said that Kohli does not care about records and milestones, but rather cares about winning matches. “Kohli does not care about breaking records anymore, we as fans are obsessed with it. He would much rather win matches for India. His focus will be to win matches in the 2023 Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup" said Uthappa.

The star cricketer helped India to win many crucial games. In the 2011 ODI World Cup, Kohli scored a crucial 35 in the final. In the 2013 Champions Trophy final, Kohli played a match-winning knock. In many knockout games in T20 World Cup like the 2014 World Cup semifinal, 2014 World Cup final, 2016 World Cup semifinal, and so on, Kohli has won and played great knocks.
