India and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is without a doubt one of the finest cricketers in the world, having set numerous records as both a player and a captain. Rohit is the most successful captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL), leading MI to five titles. His rapport with teammates and ability to bring them together for team success is something that other leaders should emulate.

Rohit is one such player, who is rarely involved in controversies and who is well-liked by all. Having said that, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh hailed the India opener for his amazing character. The veteran spinner referred to Rohit as a "diamond" and said that he has never seen a better player than him in his career.

Speaking to Star Sports, Harbhajan said: “Rohit Sharma is a diamond. I have never seen a better person than Rohit Sharma ever in my cricketing career. He’s the kind of person you would want to meet every time and this is the ultimate achievement any cricketer can ever achieve.”

His remarks came during a live show with former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan. The left-hander also agreed with Bhaji's statement that Rohit respects everyone. For the uninitiated, Harbhajan has shared an IPL dressing room with Rohit Sharma since 2011. He has also played under him in MI for almost seven years and was part of the franchise's successful journey.

That’s why God is blessing Rohit, says Harbhajan

Harbhajan, who is also a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, said that a person's true success is how you respect others and Rohit has achieved that in his life. The right-arm off-spinner further said that MI should win this year's IPL.

“You would like to meet this player (Rohit) every time. Forget what he has done on the field, but this is the success of Rohit Sharma. The real success of a person’s life is how you have shown respect towards others and how you have behaved and that’s why God is blessing Rohit Sharma. That’s why keep it up my ‘Chand’ (Rohit Sharma) and this time also the trophy should be Mumbai’s name," he said.
