The cricketing world witnessed one of the craziest fans of all time during the ongoing ODI clash between Nepal and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Nepal was completely packed on Thursday, March 16, with some fans finding various ways to witness the match. Pictures of crazy Nepali fans climbing trees to watch the match went viral on social media and caught the attention of the cricket fraternity.

UAE, who won the toss and opted to bat first, managed to put up a decent score of 310 on the scoreboard on the back of brilliant batting performances from captain Mohammad Wasim, Vriitya Aravind and Asif Khan. Waseem scored 63 runs off 49 balls while Aravind scored 94 runs off 138 balls. The hosts tried to make a comeback by destroying the UAE's middle order, but the real demolition came after Asif reached the crease.

Asif scored an unbeaten 101 off 42 balls with 11 sixes and four fours to script the record for the fastest century in ODI cricket by an associate player. Deependra Singh was brilliant with the ball for Nepal, conceding just 19 runs in his eight overs and picking up two wickets.

In response, Nepal lost the wicket of opening batter Aasif Sheikh (o off 2) in the very first over. However, his partner Kushal Bhurtel laid the foundation for Nepal with smashing a half-century (50 off 35). The hosts lost couple of wickets in the middle order but Bhim Sharkey and Arif Shaikh brought them back into the game. At the time of writing, Nepal are 190 for five and need 120 runs to win with 16 overs to spare.
