CSK clashed with PBKS in the 42nd match of the IPL 2023 at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. The MS Dhoni-led side won the toss and batted first. In form openers Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad went in their usual fiery fashion against the Punjab bowlers.

Gaikwad was the first to get dismissed at 37 off 31 with 4 fours and 1 six. Conway however continued in his usual fashion and came up with a brilliant 92 off 52 with 16 fours and 1 six. MS Dhoni came up with a quickfire 13 off 4 with 2 sixes.

As a result, CSK reached 200/4 which seemed like a good total on the Chepauk surface. Coming off to the run chase PBKS started well as both openers Prabhsimran Singh (42) and Shikhar Dhawan (28) started off well. The team went to 50 before they lost their first wicket.

Liam Livingstone also came good with the bat as he hit 40 off 24 with 1 four and 4 sixes to take the team close to the target. Livingstone's wicket in the 16th over gave a huge scare to PBKS, but Jitesh Sharma and Sikandar Raza came onto take the run chase deep.

In the end, Raza was the coolest player on the ground as he chased down 9 runs in the last over to give CSK their second loss at the Chepauk Stadium in IPL 2023. As a result of this win, PBKS move to 5th on the table. Meanwhile, CSK remain at 4th with 10 points in 9 matches.

With this PBKS win, all cricket fans soon came to social media to troll CSK fans when o are one of the most vocal when their team wins. This was however a chance for others to mock the Chennai fans and get one over them.
