The 3rd Test match was an absolute one-sided win for the hosts. The Indian team had set the platform with a total of 445 runs on the board thanks to the centuries from skipper Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. England did put a bit of a scare with Ben Duckett scoring a great century to give his side a chance. Unfortunately, The England team were finally bowled out for 319 giving the home team a 126-run lead. The Indian bowling attack came back well in the following day with no big score aside from Duckett in the first innings scorecard.

The Indians were on absolute fire in the second innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan helping the host set a target of 557 for England. This was already a daunting task for England even with their fearless style of cricket. The England batters finally folded for just 122 runs with India winning the match by a huge margin of 434 runs. This is the biggest Test win for India in a Test match and the second biggest loss for England as well. With this, the Indian team are currently leading the 5-match series 2-1 as well.

The Leftie sensations of the Test match

This Test match comfortably belongs to the two India Southpaws. It was local boy Ravindra Jadeja, who set the tone with a brilliant century in the first innings of the game. His 112 from 225 deliveries came at a crucial time when the team was struggling at 33-3. Jadeja also came back into the match with the ball as well bowling a decent spell in the first innings and taking a five-wicket haul in the 2nd innings to finish off the visitors.

Yashasvi Jaiswal once again played one of the best innings in the second innings scoring his 2nd double century in Test matches. His 214 runs from 236 balls which included 14 fours and 12 sixes was enough for India to set a humongous total to chase down the England batters.

This was a game that completely belonged to Rohit Sharma and his boys. They have taken the lead in this game with 2 more games to go in the series. However, the series is still not over and the next game in Ranchi is set up beautifully. For India it will be a chance for them to seal the series completely, while for  Ben Stokes and his men it will be a do or die game which they will have to win to have a chance of ending their win drought in the sub- continent. Everyone will still be tuned for the next two games that will decide the final outcome.
