If you are a Virat Kohli fan, it's not good news for you. After so much speculation on his return to the Test squad against England, Virat Kohli withdrew his name from India’s squad for the rest of the series according to reports.

Tough news to digest for all the cricketing fraternities all over the world. This is the first time in his illustrious career, he will miss the entire series at home. According to Indian Express former Indian skipper informed the Indian Cricket Board that he will be unavailable for the last three tests of the series against England.

Before the first Test match of the series, Kohli informed the Indian Cricket Board that he would not be available for the selection for the first two Tests due to personal reasons. The Indian Cricket Board respected his decision and moved forward. And now as India's squad for the remaining 3 matches is announced, it is confirmed that Kohli will miss the entire Test series.

Jay Shah said, “The Indian Cricket Board respects his decision and the Board and team management has extended its support to the star batter and is confident in the abilities of the remaining squad members to step up and deliver commendable performances in the Test series.”

It’s a tough series for the India men’s selection committee. Indian Middle order batter Shreyash Iyer has been ruled out for the rest of the series due to groin pain and back stiffness while playing forward defence. He will report to the NCA (National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru now.

There is some good news for the fans too. Ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and middle-order star batter KL Rahul, those who have not played in the second Test in Visakhapatnam due to injury are declared fit by the medical team and are in the squad for the remaining matches. Lethal pacer of India, 30-year-old Jasprit Bumrah is also available for the selection.
