Fans react with glee after David Warner scored his 26th test century for Australia in his final test match series against Pakistan on Thursday in Perth.

Australian opener David Warner marked the start of his final Test series in fine style. The 37-year-old opener continued his good form against Pakistan with a fine ton in Perth on Thursday. Warner will play his final Test match against Pakistan in front of his home fans in Sydney starting on the 3rd of January.

The Australian opener played a key role in his team’s ODI World Cup triumph in India recently. With his impending retirement near, David Warner will want to help his team to a series win. If Australia wins the series with a 3-0 margin they will move upwards in the World Test Championships table.

Pakistan is currently leading the table with India placed at number two. New Zealand have moved to number 3 after their win against Bangladesh, who took the number 4 spot. Australia is at number five while West Indies are at number six followed by England. Sri Lanka and South Africa are yet to play in this cycle of World Test Championships.

David Warner scores impressive test century –

Optus Stadium in Perth is witnessing David Warner play his final test series for his national side. The 37-year-old made it a game to remember as he scored his 26th test century on Thursday in Perth.

David Warner reached this mark when he upper-cut Aamir Jamal for a four, took off his helmet, and roared in delight. Australian cricket fans stood in delight as they cheered the pocket dynamo who was looking thrilled with the effort. 

With this century, David Warner has now reached 8th in the table for the most test tons scored by an Australian batter. The 37-year-old also has become the highest Test century maker as far as opening batters from Australia are concerned.

Shaheen Afridi got the first wicket of the day when he had Usman Khawaja out for 41 caught by Sarfaraz Ahmed. Marnus Labuschagne was the next to go when he was out LBW to Faheem Ashraf for 16. Steve Smith and David Warner then got up their 50-run stand for the third wicket to keep the Australian juggernaut running.
