Ric Flair, the WWE Hall of Famer, has cleared the air over his 'The Man' trademark dispute with Triple H. The two are longtime friends but things turned ugly between the two over the dispute. The 73-year-old was desperate about the phrase and it was Becky Lynch who received the sobriquet in the end.
Speaking about the issue on the 'To be the man' podcast, Flair said that things turned ugly between him and Triple H. However, he was happy to clear the air on the issue and said that he still respects his longtime friend. The duo have been thick friends and there have been instances when the Hall of Famer has thanked him on Twitter.
When asked if they are still thick as thieves, Flair said that they were not and was concerned about Triple H's health. "Well, I don’t think we’re thick as thieves, but I can tell you this. We had a big falling out over the trademark, ‘The Man’ issue, a big falling out," he said.
The Nature Boy further added that he was one of the first to call Stephanie McMahon and enquire about Triple H's health. "But, I’d be very surprised if I wasn’t in the top 5 people who reached out to Stephanie

He drew light on sharing the news of his son's demise to Triple H first and said that he would be at The Game's funeral. "
The Nature Boy further added that their relationship is intact and rubbed off all the claims of their rift. "You have arguments, you have disagreements. But I can guarantee you this, I will be at his funeral, and I’ll guarantee you this, he will be at mine. Everybody else can say what they want to say, make of it what they want to make of it,” Flair concluded.
