The Yo-yo test has become an integral part of the selection process for the Indian cricket team. It is a fitness test that measures an athlete's endurance and stamina. However, ahead of the Asia Cup 2023, five prominent Indian cricketers have been exempted from the test. In order to pass the yo-yo test, which evaluates a player's endurance and aerobic stamina, they must cross the 40-meter finish line in the allotted time and within three beeps.
The Indian cricket team is taking part in a training and preparation camp at the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Three Ovals campus in Alur, Bengaluru, before the major event. According to sources, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma both aced the test, which the previous Indian captain Virat Kohli publicly posted his test score (17.2).
