Manchester United and Manchester City faced off in a Derby clash on October 2, Sunday at Etihad, the latter’s home ground. Much to the desolation of the away fans, the Cityzens won it with a thumping scoreline of 6-3. The City forwards Erling Haaland and Phil Foden starred on the pitch as the duo scored hattricks and helped their team win.

On the other hand, an old video is making rounds after the Red Devils' defeat. Manchester United hosted the Cityzens at Old Trafford on October 23, 2011, when the former lost 1-6. Post the defeat, the City fans started coming up with chants requesting the United fans to get back to London.

Here’s the video:

With regards to the Derby clash, the Red Devils have won 24 encounters out of the 51 that they have played in the Premier League as opposed to Cityzens 18. Overall, Man United dominate with 77 wins as opposed to City’s 58 in 188 encounters. In the case of Saturday’s clash, it was all about Manchester City and Man United men would hope to avenge the defeat later at Old Trafford.

I need to talk to my players: Erik ten Hag

The Red Devils' boss said that he was surprised and added that he would want to have a talk with the players. As one could expect, the Man United stars will have to face the diatribe from the Dutchman until the next match.

“I am surprised why we didn't bring it on the pitch. It’s four weeks ago , but I have seen a different team, a different spirit and a different vibe. Today we were not convincing, we were not on the front foot and we were not brave in possession. I will show the team tomorrow we could have been on the front foot. In the first goal, we won the ball and could have created a chance and gave it away. That is unacceptable,” ten Hag said after the match in the press conference.

“It’s difficult to find out straight after the game. I need to talk to my players. They know they can do better. If you don’t fight, and we didn’t, you’ll get a problem against a team like Man City,” the Dutchman added.
