Three ILT20 stars who might get a spot in their respective Indian T20 League’s teams

The ongoing International League T20 has already unearthed several exciting talents, some of whom are already part of the Indian T20 League rosters. The Gulf Giants are currently the table-toppers in the tournament, followed by MI Emirates, Desert Vipers, and Dubai Capitals. James Vince is the leading run-scorer in the competition so far.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rehan Ahmed, and Sanchit Sharma are the joint-highest wicket-takers in the tournament. Here we will take a look at the three ILT20 stars who could become unquestioned starters for their respective Indian T20 League teams even before the start of the upcoming 2023 season.

3. Fazalhaq Farooqi

Fazalhaq Farooqi has had an underwhelming start to his ILT20 league campaign for the MI Emirates as they have won their only game of the tournament so far in a convincing manner, with Farooqi clinching two wickets while conceding only 27 runs. He will be seen playing for the Hyderabad Franchise in the Indian T20 League.

He might get an opportunity to play for the franchise if he continues to perform well in the ILT20 League. Meanwhile, Farooqi was involved in a controversy recently Sydney Thunder terminated his contract from the Big Bash League.

2. Rahmanullah Gurbaz

The explosive Afghanistan opener Rahmanullag Gurbaz will be seen playing for the Kolkata-based franchise in the Indian T20 League 2023. He was traded to Kolkata from the Gujarat franchise. Gurbaz is currently playing for the Sharjah Warriors in the ILT20 League and he also had a decent start in the campaign.

He has scores of 43 and 22 runs in the two innings he played so far for the team. However, the Warriors are yet to open their winning account in the tournament. If Gurbaz continues to play with the consistency he might get a chance to open for Kolkata in the cash-rich league.

The Caribbean star allrounder is likely to be Delhi’s first-choice overseas player along with David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Anrich Nortje in the upcoming season of the major T20 League. Talking about his ILT20 journey, he has scores of 48 and 38 runs with 3 wickets as well in the tournament so far.

He is also leading the Dubai Capitals. Powell has already displayed his ability to hit huge sixes during the previous season of the Indian T20 League. Delhi would be delighted if he continues to perform well in ILT20 League.
