London Spirit and Southern Brave locked horns in match 10 of The Hundred 2022 yesterday at the Rose Bowl stadium. The Spirit skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first. Zak Crawley and Adam Rossington marched on to the crease only to put on a partnership of 24 runs for the opening wicket.

After losing Rossington early, the Spirit looked to steady the innings. However, Michael Hogan managed to deceive Zak Crawley with a short ball on middle stump. Daniel Bell-Drummond and Gen Maxwell then steadied the ship for the Spirit as Maxwell managed to score 34 off just 21 balls. His quickfire inning comprised of 5 fours and 1 six.

Eoin Morgan made way for Pollard after being run-out on the 53rd ball. The Spirit were reduced to 73/4 after 55 balls. It was all about Kieron Pollard and Bell-Drummond's partnership from there on as the duo helped the Spirit inch past 100 run-mark.

Bell-Drummond managed to bag two boundaries and one six off James Fuller's over to take the total near the 120-mark. The Spirit ended up scoring 147 runs for the loss of six wickets at the end of first innings.

Chasing down a decent score, the Brave lost their opener James Vince on the very first ball. A run-out on the ninth ball put an end to Quinton de Kock's short stay at the crease. While Alex Davies carried on with his steady innings, Stoinis got out for just 14 runs. Ross Whiteley joined Davies in an attempt to bring the team back on track.

However, only when things were going great for the Brave, in-form batter Davies perished for a decent 36. Tim David joined him to the dressing room after he got out for just three runs. Ross Whiteley tried to pace up his innings and got out after scoring a fighting half-century. Southern Brave fell short of the target by just four runs, in the end. London Spirt have now won all of the three matches that they have played so far.
