India will tour Bangladesh in a three-match ODI Series. India will be touring Bangladesh for the first time since 2015. The Men in Blue will be looking to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup which will be held at home. India will be looking to get three wins from the series and try to dominate.
Bangladesh on the other hand will be looking to put up a good show against India and if possible show that they can beat India in ODIs too. They will want to put their best foot forward and make India sweat to get a favourable result. Here are three impact players for Bangladesh.
Here are the three Bangladesh players to watch out for in the ODI series against India:
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib has been a Talisman in Bangladesh Cricket. He has had a wonderful ODI career for the Bangla Tigers. Shakib has scored 6755 runs at an average of 37.73. He has played 221 matches. He has also been wonderful with the ball as he has picked up 285 wickets at an average of 29.47. He has the highest score of 134.
He will be the strike player for Bangladesh as he will look to get into a good rhythm with bat and ball. He does not have captaincy on his shoulders at the moment so we can see the best of Shakib in the series against India. He will look to take wickets with the ball and score vital runs with the bat in the middle order.
Litton Das
Litton Das has been one of the shining stars in recent times for Bangladesh. In the just concluded 20-20 World Cup held in Australia he scored a superb 60 off 27 balls with seven fours and three sixes. He will look to go big at the top of the order against an inexperienced Indian bowling lineup.
He has scored 1835 runs in ODIs, at an average of 35.28 and a strike rate of 88.60. He has scored runs in 57 ODIs. He has got the highest score of 176. He has seven fifties and five hundreds to his name. He will captain Bangladesh in the series against India as Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out with injury.
Nasum Ahmed
Nasum Ahmed the left-arm spinner has played his cricket for Sylhet. He made his debut in the Bangladesh side in 2021. He took 4-18 in a T20 match against Australia on 3rd August 2021 which helped Bangladesh beat Australia in a T20 for the first time.
Nasum made his debut for Bangladesh in ODIs against West Indies. He has played in three ODIs for the Bangla Tigers where he has picked up five wickets. He picked the wickets at an average of 14.80 and an economy rate of 2.67. He will look to use the spin-friendly conditions at home. He is a good prospect for Bangladesh.
