Team India and Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma will turn 36 on Sunday, April 30. On his special day, Rohit will play against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at their home ground, Wankhede Stadium. A surprise awaits the 'Hitman' on his birthday from his Hyderabad fans who are planning to unveil a massive 60 feet cut-out of their favourite cricketer, which they claim is the largest cut-out ever for a cricketer.

In India, cricket is considered a religion and the craze for cricketers is unreal. Cutouts of MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been raised in front of various venues on several occasions. It has been learned that Rohit's 60ft cut-out will be placed at RTC X Roads in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, MI might also celebrate their opening batter's birthday at Wankhede when they lock horns against RR. The venue recently hosted a cake-cutting celebration for legendary cricketer and MI mentor Sachin Tendulkar's 50th birthday.

Rohit's inconsistency is a concern for MI

Mumbai Indians haven't had a great campaign so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as they have lost four out of seven matches. Skipper Rohit Sharma has also struggled to get runs this season, and even when he does get a strong start, he can't turn it into a big score. He has only one half-century this season.

Former Australian all-rounder and Delhi Capitals (DC) assistant coach Shane Watson has spoken out about Rohit's declining performance. "When it comes to Rohit Sharma, we have seen him at his best, but in the last four or five years of the IPL, he hasn’t been very consistent at all," Watson told The Grade Cricketer on YouTube.

"It is hard to get your head around it because he is such a gun batter when he is going, taking on all the best bowlers in the world in all different conditions,” he added.

The five-time champions have not had the best outings in the last two seasons and this time they come with the intention of making an impact. However, injury concerns, lack of form and the inconsistency of a few players are holding them back.
