‘They finished the match before we could finish our dessert’- Fans react as Trinbago Knight Riders beat Jamaica Tallawahs by 7 wickets in CPL 2023

In CPL 2023 Match Number 22, the Trinbago Knight Riders emerged victorious over the Jamaica Tallawahs by 7 wickets. This thrilling encounter showcased some exceptional performances from both teams, but it was the Knight Riders who ultimately prevailed.

One standout player in this match was Nicholas Pooran, who played a crucial role in his team's victory. Pooran displayed his batting prowess by scoring a brilliant 54 runs off just 35 balls. His innings was filled with elegant strokes and powerful hits that kept the scoreboard ticking for his team. Martin Guptill scored a valuable 53 of 45 balls and Russel finished things with his fiery 20 of 12 balls.

Another notable performance came from Sunil Narine, who contributed significantly to the Knight Riders' success. Narine’s exceptional bowling figures of 2/29 and his quickfire knock of 15 runs off just 6 balls got him the player of the match award. 

Imad Wasim remained lone warrior for Jamaica Tallawahs

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim displayed a remarkable performance in the recent match for the Jamaica Tallawahs. Scoring an impressive 62 runs off just 33 balls and taking two wickets by conceding only 29 runs, Imad proved to be the lone warrior for his team. However, despite his valiant efforts, the match ended in defeat for the Tallawas.

With this win Trinbago Knight Riders secured their spot at the top of the CPL 2023 table, where Guyana Amazon Warrior stood in second place. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots who were sitting at the bottom of the table and are almost out of the tournament. Andre Fletcher who scored 267 runs in the tournament till now is the leading run getter and Jason Holder took 12 wickets and stands as a leading wicket taker in the tournament. Nicholas Pooran and Rahkeem Cornwall both scored 102, which was the highest individual score in the tournament till now.
