Nepal fans are known for their passion for the game of cricket, and they have stunned everyone on multiple times by climbing trees and other unconventional methods to see their team play. A similar event was witnessed at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday, April 27 when Nepal and Qatar clashed in the 2023 ACC Mens Premier Cup.
Nepal registered a thumping victory of 68 runs in a low-scoring ODI encounter. Meanwhile, a picture of some Nepali fans watching the match from the top of the trees is going viral on social media. Even if the fans could see their team win, the match would not be as interesting for them.

Sandeep Lamichhane's all-round excellence gave Nepal a resounding win
Coming back to today's match, batting first, Nepal were bundled out for 157 by visitors after all of their top-order batters failed to resist. Right-arm leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was their highest run-score with an unbeaten 43 off 58 balls. Amir Farooq was the pick of the bowlers for Qatar, taking four wickets while conceding 42 runs. Owais Ahmed and Gayan Munaweera picked two wickets each.
Defending a low total, Nepal bowlers dominated from the start, taking wickets in regular intervals. None of the Qatar batters scored more than 20 runs, with Zaheer Ibrahim and Khurram Shahzad scoring the most (15). Lamichhane was the hero for Nepal, taking five wickets while conceding only 14 runs in 9.1 overs. Qatar's display ended in 25.1 overs as they got bowled out for 89 runs in 20 overs.
Nepal are unbeaten in the 2023 ACC Cup so far. They comprehensively beat Malaysia in the first match and then crushed Oman in the next encounter. Qatar, on the other hand, are really struggling in the tournament. They have played three matches so far and are yet to record a win.
