Delhi Capitals batting coach Shane Watson has commented on the tension between Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly during a recent match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. Speaking on the podcast The Grade Cricketer, Watson said, "There was definitely fire in Virat’s belly the other night, and from an opposition point of view that’s the last thing you need as well." He added that he wasn't sure if the tension was between Kohli and Ganguly or just a rumour, but either way, it spelt bad news for the opposition.

Watson went on to say that when Kohli has fire in his belly, he is at his absolute best. "Whatever reason that was, I’m not exactly sure," he said. During the match, Kohli scored 50 off 34, and his team won by 23 runs.
